Allyn Anthony Shaw and the employee got into a shouting match just before 6 a.m. on Sunday, May 28, after he refused to turn down the music blaring from his car's stereo, Prince William police said.
The disagreement escalated until the fast-food employee said Shaw pulled out a gun, an incident report notes. When police arrived at the 17340 Dumfries Road McDonald's, they arrested Shaw without incident.
No shots were fired, and no one was injured.
Police charged Shaw with brandishing a weapon, the incident report said. He was being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
